We all want another space, but we can’t afford it, to co-work, to create, to escape, to gather. MAKESHIFT is the idea that we can communally create what it becomes, by democratizing the process and the outcomes. All the profit the space makes goes back into the space, and every member gets an equal vote: if the quarter cleared $4k, do we buy a 3D printer, lower rents, take more space, or give back to our community? The choice is all of ours.

The space we’re negotiating is available September 1st, our plan is to do a light build out (furniture mainly) just to get us in the space right away, and create the vision together over time.
